Proudly part of Pittwater since 1988.
Church Point Charter has been helping people explore Pittwater and the Hawkesbury by boat since 1988.
Founded by Niels and Val, Church Point Charter began with just two boats and a simple belief: that you don’t need to own a boat — or hold a boat licence — to enjoy some of Sydney’s most beautiful waterways. Their hands-on approach, focus on safety, and genuine love of boating quickly earned the business a loyal following.
Niels
Originally operating from the Church Point Ferry Wharf, the business later moved to Sirsi Marina and, in 2013, settled into its current home at Princes Street Marina in Newport. Over the years, the fleet has grown to include a carefully selected range of cruisers and yachts suited to the sheltered waters of Pittwater, Cowan Creek and the Hawkesbury River.
… and we’re still messing about in boats.
Josh
In 2026, Church Point Charter entered a new chapter when the business was taken over by Josh and Rebecca. With respect for the legacy created by Niels and Val, they bring fresh energy while remaining committed to the values that have defined Church Point Charter for nearly four decades.
Today, we look forward to welcoming returning customers back on board and introducing new guests to the simple joy of self-drive cruising - sharing these beautiful waterways for many years to come.
